In the lead-up to EvalYear 2015 we will preview each of the 10 submissions selected from our International Call for Evaluations that Make a Difference. A different preview will be posted every few days and in random order.
Today’s submission is from Nepal and describes the impact of the evaluation of the Youth Radio Program.
The program, developed by youth and for youth, delivers weekly hour-long radio program episodes that provide youth with life skills training on issues such as negotiating relationships, continuing education, protecting against HIV/AIDS, sexual and reproductive health, trafficking, and issues related to Nepal’s current peace process.
The evaluation convinced the radio program, which was produced and broadcasted from the central level, to launch their own local language versions of the program in 15 hard to reach rural areas, providing more youth with a platform and a voice to discuss their concerns.

All 10 submissions are currently being developed into engaging stories and will be published in English, Spanish and French during EvalYear 2015.
